Here are a few portraits from my most recent shoot. These are the kinds of shoots that I love. I can't say enough about it so I'll just give the details. Carolyn Cuttill is the hair stylist, T'ai Rising-Moore is the makeup artist and Amy was our model. The clothes were generously donated by N.Rue & Co. The shoot was really great! Amy is so photogenic and Carolyn and T'ai are so good at what they do that it lets me really enjoy the post production work. I would shoot this stuff every day if I could! This shoot was for an upcoming project as well as my soon to be launched new website! I'll have many more images later!

Noblesville, Indiana Snow Days

We woke up one morning and noticed the trees were covered with not ice but frozen fog? It was lighter than snow and kind of just came to rest on the trees. It's hard to explain but it looks so cool! I couldn't capture the beauty of it the way I wanted to. I ran out before work and shot for about ten minutes. This is what I came up with. Not the best "frozen fog" images but some decent snow ones none the less. Enjoy!

Edwin, Cherry & Cerise Family Portraits

So Chrissy's cousin Cherry was in town from Australia not too long ago and Chrissy and I not only got the opportunity to meet her and her husband Edwin and their super cute daughter Cerise but we also got to shoot them! They are such a good looking family! We shot in Noblesville in my studio. Clyde and John Acosta (Chrissy's other cousins) and their super COOL son Seven were there too. Talk about photogenic! It was a nice weekend of eating and talking and getting some portraits in as well! Hope you enjoy them!

David & Kelsey - Noblesville, Indiana Portraits

The second portrait shoot of the year! Another excellent shoot! This time Chrissy and I were watching the Colts playoff game with a couple of our friends and got the idea to do a last minute portrait shoot on Sunday. It was a dark, cold day but we had a nice fire to come in and get warmed back up with. These were all impromptu shots. We made Dave and Kelsey shoot all afternoon while still catching the football games in between. It was a fun time with great friends! There are so many good shots from this portrait shoot but here are just a few to preview. Hope you enjoy them!

Joe & Ashley Engagement Photos

Alright! I have been wanting to have a really cool shoot lately and....The first shoot of 2010 just happens to be Awesome! Our friends Joe and Ashley were in town from California visiting. They were recently engaged. So on Joe's birthday, I called him up and asked if I could shoot some engagement photos of them. So it was 12 degrees out. They didn't care. What a cool couple and a pretty day! We got some great engagement shots of them. I just love how they turned out. Here are a few of them. Hope you like them. Enjoy.

Kylene's 30th Birthday

This was the most fun to be had on 12/12/2010. Not only was it my son's birthday party and we had lots of people over, but we had a fun party at night. Kylene Huff turned the big 3-0. Kevin and Kylene had plenty of excellent food, drinks, photos, dancing and of course how could it be complete without the hottest DJ in Indianapolis....Deejay Metrognome! Pegah Lashani November 2009

Ok, here is the second round of Pegah's photoshoot. You can see the first post here. These were all taken in Noblesville. All the ones with wall paper or textured backgrounds were all put together in photoshop. I've been practicing some new techniques thanks to a great photographer I had the opportunity to speak with. The first one here was shot on a gray background. I really like the way it turned out. Enjoy!

New York City 2009 Video

Here is a video I put together quickly just to experiment. I've never done anything like this before, I know it's kind of sloppy but I like it. I put together a bunch of clips from driving around New York City and New Jersey together with some still images I shot. I am pairing it with another video of still images that I will put together on one dvd. This is from Chrissy and I's super fun vacation to New York in October of this year. You can check this video out in HD all big and looking good on youtube This NYC 2009 video is set to one of my favorite songs by Husky Rescue. They have a Brand new album coming out soon called Ship of Light. It will be available 01/25/2010! If you would like to download their new single you may do so here for free! Jaime and Patrick Turner

So, we went to high school with Jaime for a little bit. She contacted me before Thanksgiving saying that they would be in town from Georgia for Thanksgiving weekend and wanted to book a shoot. It was a little chilly out (especially compared to the weather in Georgia) but they and their super cute kids were troopers! In my opinion, we got some great shots here in Noblesville! Ok! Chrissy and I shot my sister-in-law and her fiance, Grey Granite today. We got some really unique engagement shots. As far as portraits go, these are some of my favorites so far. Here are some wedding shots from a beautiful wedding in Southern Indiana. Keri and Jamie are a really cool and laid back couple. Chrissy and I had a wonderful time shooting that day. There were many neat things about this wedding. I don't know if it was the choreographed hip hop father daughter dance or the fifteen, yes I said fifteen minutes of fireworks right after the kiss that was cooler. It was a very unique wedding. It was also wonderful weather! The wedding coordinators were awesome to work with. Deborah from A Touch of Elegance was really nice and EXTREMELY organized! So here are a few shots from the wedding. Chrissy and I can't thank Keri and Jamie enough for letting us be a part of it!

Ok, here is one good looking family! They all look like a bunch of models, even their kids! Here is a sneak peak of a fall family shoot. Chrissy and I had a great time shooting Angie and Justin's family. It was good to catch up with them as well. We went to high school with them and unfortunately have only seen them once or twice since then. The worst part about that is.....We all live in Noblesville! About 5 minutes away from each other. Now what is the excuse? Hope you like the pics. I think they're excellent. One of my favorite family shoots to date!

These are some shots of a wonderful couple! Chrissy and I had the opportunity to go to Chicago to shoot some engagement photos. Lauren and Dave are getting married next fall in Indianapolis and we will be shooting their wedding. It's going to be beautiful! They have chosen two wonderful places for their ceremony and reception. We made it up to Chicago and just dodged the rain on a Sunday. Here is a taste of their engagement photographs. I love them! Julie's Family

All right! Awhile back Julie Covert contacted me and said that her family was having a reunion of about thirty people and she wanted me to shoot some family pics! This family is BIG! Chrissy and I drove down to Manilla, Indiana on a rainy Sunday to meet them. On the way to the farm, we noticed how beautiful the surroundings are. Rolling farmland and mature trees. Julie's family was about as nice as a group can get! They were very open to us strangers coming to their home and making them stand out in the rain for photographs. The kids were all extremely well behaved as well as being very photogenic! Julie's family was an honor to shoot. Two of them were military men. People that serve our beautiful country like that are people to be respected and admired. They were all really kind to us and even fed us a great dinner after the shoot! They were so cool that I could even look past some of their views on football teams. (there were a couple Steelers fans and yes....even a Cleveland Browns fan!) Here are some shots of the families. There are so many of them that this is all I can get up right now, but we have a lot more great ones coming. Enjoy!

I had the opportunity to shoot my good friends family! Aside from being great friends to Chrissy and I, Jeff and Nicole are two of the nicest people I've ever known. Plus, they have a cutie pie for a baby! Jeff's parents are equally as kind. We had the opportunity to meet his brother and his brothers fiance from Los Angeles who were recently engaged! After the shoot we had an awesome dinner and some good wine. What fun! Here are some of the shots.

All right, I know I always say this but this time it's really true! This was my favorite styled shoot ever! I loved working with such a talented group of people to make these awesome images. I would definitely do this everyday. First I have to thank Beth Bennett from B. Trousseau Couture
She designed and made the wonderful gowns and tiara's in all of these photos. Second I have to thank Alice Montana-Oshier. She is an amazing make up artist! This was my first time working with her, and I seriously hope to do it again soon. Next the two beautiful models. Stephanie Kendall and Erica Turer! Both of them were an absolute pleasure to work with. Aside from being beautiful, they were completely natural and at ease in front of the camera, which is a real treat for me. I didn't have to tell them anything. I would love to work with them again for sure! I also, of course, have to thank Carolyn Cuttill I am lucky to have her for these shoots. She did an amazing job with the hair and portrait styling as usual. Every time I work with her, she is better at what she does....Hmmmm makes me wondering if she's doing stuff on the side. Because we all know I pay her top dollar :)
Last but certainly not least, my wonderful wife who without her moral support and suggestions, I would never be able to do these things. She is always giving good advice even if I don't want it. :) She is also more beautiful than any model I've ever seen. I'm definitely blessed to have her!

Here are a few shots from today's wedding! Every wedding I shoot, I try to get a feel for the kind of photo's and "look" that the couple wants. All I can say is this couple was amazingly photogenic. They were very striking and we came up with some great stuff. Some of my favorites to date! I hope you like them!

Duncan Crew Tour Indianapolis

Ok! This was about the most fun you can have on a shoot! My friend Takeshi from the Duncan Crew let me come out to meet a couple other members and shoot some photos last week. Emil Lamprecht and Nate Sutter were in town for a few demo's with the Duncan Van. They are currently touring the U.S.A. You can keep up with them at the Duncan Tour Blog

Wedding in Black & White

Here is a series of Black and White wedding shots I took last weekend. I absolutely love the first two. I think the first one is probably the most romantic shot I've ever taken. I love the feeling, tones, and mood these photos give. This is just my opinion. I hope you like this series. The color versions are really cool but I think that these convey what I was trying to capture perfectly!
